When you are taking a high protein diet, your body tends to deal with calcium differently. Either it tries to flush out extra amount of calcium via frequent micturition causing low bone density, osteoporosis and osteomalacia. Alternatively, your body can try to retain extra calcium within the nephrotic chambers in the form of crystals. This gives rise to the formation of kidney stones.
