"Goldie and Kate have this radiance and aura around them, and usually they have smiles on their faces," says Sandra Lee, M.D., a dermatologist based in Upland, California. "So any expression lines, such as those smile lines, are just the result of living and loving life, and those lines are very attractive."
What may be less attractive, however, are other expression lines, such as the "elevens" you may have between your eyebrows. If you have expression lines anywhere on your face that you're looking to hide, there are topical creams and lotions that can do the job. Dr. Lee recommends those made with such tried-and-true ingredients as the antioxidants idebenone and vitamin C. She also recommends retinoids.

"Kiera's skin is very fair, but her mother's is very tan," Wu says. "If this is a fake tan, it's very natural-looking! But if it's a real tan, that may explain the deeper smile lines on her cheeks." Kiera is also thin, which makes her more likely to develop vertical neck bands that look like veins, according to Wu. You can spot this trait in her mother's photo. "I sometimes treat these with injections of Botox or Dysport," Wu says.
