Whether you’re a gym member or a pay-per-class kinda person, sign up in advance. Often if you skip the workout you get charged and no one wants to waste money on that. Even with Equinox if you sign up for a cycling class and bail you get penalized (not monetarily but if you do this 3 times you aren’t able to sign up in advance for a period of time following the infraction).
5. Make Plans for After Work:
This one seems weird, but if I know that I have plans after work and won’t be able to get to the gym, I will get up for my morning workout. If my evening is totally open, as I’m hitting snooze I’ll convince myself I can workout after work. Even if your plans are running an errand or watching a tv show, it will still remind you to get your workout out of the way early.
